Polyferric Sulfate (PFS)

Polyferric Sulfate (PFS)

Polyferric Sulfate (PFS) is an iron-based inorganic polymer coagulant. It excels at removing color, organic matter, and heavy metals from water. Compared to aluminum-based coagulants, PFS produces denser flocs and works across a wider pH range.

Specifications

Key Advantages

  • Effective pH range: 4.0-11.0
  • Excellent color removal from textile/dye wastewater
  • Superior heavy metal precipitation (Cu, Zn, Cr, Ni, Pb)
  • Dense, fast-settling flocs
  • No residual aluminum concerns

Applications

  • Industrial wastewater with high color/COD
  • Heavy metal removal from electroplating wastewater
  • Phosphorus removal in municipal WWTP
  • Combined use with PAM for enhanced settling
