How the calculation works
The calculator first finds the increase from the measured residual to the target residual. It then converts that concentration increase into active chlorine mass and adjusts for the product strength. Liquid products also use solution density.

Limits and responsible use
This is a stoichiometric estimate, not an operating instruction. Real chlorine demand, mixing, contact time, sunlight, pH, cyanuric acid, organic load, product degradation, and local rules can change the required dose. Verify with a calibrated test after circulation and follow the product label.
