Hydrochemix POME Treatment Program
Stage 1: Primary Coagulation with PAC
Our high-basicity PAC 30% is formulated to perform effectively at elevated temperatures (70-85C) typical of POME discharge. The spray-dried powder dissolves rapidly and achieves 80-95% suspended solids removal in properly designed primary clarifiers.
Stage 2: Flocculation with Anionic PAM
High molecular weight (15-20 million) anionic PAM enhances floc formation and settling velocity, reducing retention time in treatment ponds by 30-50%.
Stage 3: Sludge Dewatering with Cationic PAM
POME sludge is high in organic content and difficult to dewater. Our cationic PAM with 30-50% charge density achieves superior cake solids in belt press and decanter centrifuge applications.
